erratic beat

at first you thought it was so well in its place. You hear it alright. Same pulsating rhythm, ticking and pumping the blood as it should.

Then all of a sudden the sound becomes less familiar..it's like you're hearing it for the first time or at least from a not so distant past from some far off lifetime. It just almost stops to make sense.. Has time really changed this much, you tell yourself.

The beat it seems turned erratic, not exactly sounding and feeling the same..will it ever revert to what it was or to go off somewhere else??

Who knows??

How the rains took away the moment, when one can say the sky took the tears right out of my eyes..

It's a quiet sort of downpour, not really much but a slight pitter-patter but one that would leave its path soaking, wet & cold..

He would be off to a faraway land again, and the years would drag on and on like it never would. This last portion of the year that I am not sure I would look forward to but who knows??

Either time and distance can save the romance or leave us both to pine for something else..in any case we will always never know except by our hearts that beat in an endless crescendo..

Another Again..

yes..that title of this post is borrowed from a song of one of my favorite singers of all time - John Legend. It captures the moment as it is now.

Part of the lyrics pretty much sums up what's happening to us..

The question is how long can we keep at it..surely there must be something that would either stop or prod us to go on..There are times when you simply want to say enough is enough and also on the same instant suddenly reverse your decision by the mere twitch of an eyebrow and the teasing twinkle of the eyes. And wham! you're again back to square one.. Like being pulled over by a cyclone either to carry us up high, to feel what heaven tastes like or to pummel us in full force both landing w/a loud thud on the ground -- with a sense of (make that no sense of) whatever..

Hard to define, even harder to explain but never to be apologized or excused for.. we just simply do it again.. and then Another Again..

just when you felt like losing it.. it reappears, either teasing or in a melancholic way trying to ensconce its way into your heart.

Confusing state of mind trying to contaminate the other's mindset..but both caught in the whirl and whirr of the emotions. And aware of the fact that one cannot entirely survive without the other.

Especially when it doesn't make sense to simply exist or subsist but to live in intimate bliss..

this would remind me of our endless not-so-summer nights..the fondest memories evoked from simplest pleasures..this chilled drink, with enough kick to warm the spirit.. just like our love forever heating up each other's hearts..despite the cold, chilly days of moments spent apart.. you are my license to chill..and my ticket to love..
